API overview
The OpenAPI specification, base URL, required headers and every endpoint of the Nava Hotels API, grouped as in the sidebar.
The Nava Hotels API searches, prices and books hotels, manages bookings after they are made, and serves the hotel catalogue for your own pages. It is a JSON over HTTPS API. Every path on this site is relative to the base URL.
OpenAPI specification
Nava publishes an OpenAPI specification for every endpoint on this page: /openapi.json and /openapi.yaml. Use it to generate clients or to import the API into Postman or Insomnia; the reference pages on this site are the source of truth for behaviour and gotchas. For a ready-to-run booking flow, download the Postman collection.
Base URLs
Test and production have their own base URLs and their own credentials; the paths are the same in both. Your Nava account manager issues test credentials (username, password and micrositeId) first, and production credentials after certification. There is no self-registration. More in Environments.
Authentication
Get a token from POST /authentication/authenticate and send it on every other call in the auth-token header. It is a custom header, not Authorization: Bearer.
A token lasts 7200 seconds (120 minutes). Use one token for a whole booking flow, from Quote to Book. See Authentication.

Content-Type: application/jsonMost response objects carry an auditData object (timestamp, processTime, authToken, traceId, availabilityId, server): log traceId (one per token, so it names the whole flow) with the x-request-id header (one per request), and redact authToken, which echoes your live token. A few responses have none, so read it optionally. See Conventions.
