Cancellation fee
Get the penalty a booked hotel would cost if you cancelled it today. It is a read-only quote. It cancels nothing and refunds nothing.
How to use it
- Call it right before you cancel, not when the booking is made. The answer is for today, and the penalty steps up as the dates in the booking's
cancellationPolicies[]pass. - Show the amount to the guest and get consent. Then call Cancel once.
- Use it to work out the refund: what the guest paid minus this fee. See Refund.
Show deadlines carefully
The fee endpoint gives you an amount, not a deadline. When you also show "free cancellation until" dates:
- Take the date from the booking-level
cancellationPolicies[]ingetBookings. It is in operator local time and matches what agents see in the back office. The service-levelhotelservice[].cancelPolicy[]date is in UTC and can be a day off near midnight. - Suppliers apply deadlines in hotel local time, so word them conservatively: "free cancellation before <date>".
Errors
The spec documents no error schema and no status codes. Treat any non-2xx response as a failure and keep the raw body and the trace id. A 404 means the reference doesn't exist (in this microsite). This call changes nothing, so it is safe to retry after a 5xx, 429 or timeout.

Cancel
Cancel a booked hotel at the supplier. The response returns the booking with status CANCELED. Cancel is not safely retryable, and it does not refund the guest.
