Meal plans

The meal plans configured on your microsite, with their codes, types and descriptions. Use them to label the mealPlan codes you get from Quote.

Show the description, not the typeDocs

Mixed plans collapse to the nearest type. "1 bed and breakfast + 1 half board" comes back as HALF_BOARD, so a label built from type alone would mislead the guest. Show description.

This response has no auditData and no Travelc-Trace-Id header. Tested For support, keep the full request and response in your logs, with the token redacted. Confirmed Log the x-request-id response header too.

Meal plan types

type is one of five values. Spec

ROOM_ONLY, BED_AND_BREAKFAST, HALF_BOARD, FULL_BOARD, ALL_INCLUSIVE

Use type to group and filter, for example "all half-board offers". Use description for the label: a mixed plan is filed under the nearest type, and only description says what the guest actually gets.

Where meal plans appear

  • Quote, Confirm, Prebook and Book return mealPlan as a MealPlanVO object (id, type, description, providerDescription). Compare it between Confirm and Prebook before you call Book.
  • Booked hotels read through getBookings carry mealPlan as a plain string, not an object. Don't parse it as a MealPlanVO. Spec See Reading bookings.
  • The catalogue is small. Refresh it per language on every sync run. Unverified

Facilities

The hotel and room facility catalogues, with icon classes, priorities and translated labels. Use them to build amenity filters and your icon mapping.

Destinations

List the destinations and countries your microsite sells, and read one destination in detail. A destination code is what Quote expects in destinationId.
